Meghan Hasser, Staff Attorney

Meghan Hasser is originally from Indianapolis. She received her B.A. in Psychology and Business Management from Indiana University in 2001. After college, Meghan served as a Jesuit Volunteer in Detroit, where she worked on a class action lawsuit against the local jail aimed at improving inmate rights. Meghan also worked as a juvenile probation officer in Indianapolis before attending law school. While attending law school at Loyola University in New Orleans, Meghan served on the board of the Loyola National Lawyer’s Guild and the Loyola Public Interest Group. She also volunteered with the Orleans Parish Teen Court Program and served as a Street Law Instructor at the Jefferson Parish Juvenile Court’s Detention facility. Meghan has clerked for the Advocacy Center, NOLAC and also worked as a child in need of care mediator at Jefferson Parish Juvenile Court. Following graduation from law school, Meghan worked for the Mental Health Advocacy Center’s Child Advocacy Program. Prior to working for JRS, Meghan was the Court Attorney for Hon. Nancy Amato Konrad, Chief Judge of the Jefferson Parish Juvenile Court. Meghan became a member of the Louisiana bar in April, 2008.
